Greetings ASL Fans;
We had five members in attendance for our O.C. Game Day in Anaheim on Saturday.
Bill Yuen and Stephan Tourville paired up for the early war classic “Round Oneâ€. Bill’s Poles and Stephan’s Germans battled for four turns, at which point they ran out of time. Because they both felt it was still anyone’s game, they decided to record their positions in order to complete the scenario at a later date.
That left me, Hank W. and Blair Bellamy for a three-player scenario. We chose “Elephants Unleashed†from the new Journal. My Germans defeated Blair and Hank’s Russians. Because the scenario was over in about 4 hours, we decided to play a second. We chose “Murphy, Go Help the British†from the Bunker guys. This time, Blair and I lost as the Americans to Hank’s defending Germans.
As usual, we had both lunch and dinner at the event, compliments of the St. Crispin’s Irregulars. There was quite a bit of miniatures gaming going on; including one group doing the 1st day at Gettysburg, another doing a Revolutionary War engagement, and a third doing Tobruk. This location continues to be a great venue for us, with plenty of room to play and no time pressure to finish. If you haven’t played there yet, check it out.
Regards,
Jim
