Jim Cotugno, Dan Plachta and I met at 10:00 AM on Saturday to begin the interphase following the 10/24 CG date completed in February. After making our purchases, we disclosed our chit pulls; both sides pulled idle chits, producing an Idle Day for 10/25. We then proceeded with the 10/26 purchases, after which we repeated the process, which produced an Idle Day for 10/26 as well. We then moved on to the 10/27 CG, where the Germans pulled an attack chit. The two CG pause in the carnage increased the ELR on both sides from 0 to 1.

Jim and I spent the remainder of the day pulling counters and setting up the Russians for the upcoming 10/27 CG date. I don't want to say there are a lot of units on the board, but we recorded 96 hexes,(about 120 locations) occupied by Russian units, not including fortifications, reserves or HIP. While we did our set-up, Dan paired up with John Lehman, who had arrived just before lunch. They played “Sting 'em at Zingham” from the most recent WO Pack, with Dan's Germans defeating John's Belgians. Both thought it was an interesting scenario, and well worth the effort. We wrapped up the day around 5:30. The 10/27 CG day will begin in April. Jim and I both think the carnage in the coming CG date will make 10/24 (where each side lost roughly 30 squads) pale in comparison. Stay tuned!
