Well, it took a couple of tries to get off the ground, but I’m pleased to report that our first San Diego Game Day at Artifex Comics and Games was a success. We had 6 players in attendance and got 3 games in:
Dave Perham’s Germans beat Victor Behar’s Brits in “The Lawless Roadâ€.
My American defeated (barely) Eric Johnson’s Americans in 2nd Crack at Caumont.
Hank W.’s Russians defeated Rob Feinstein’s Germans in First at Fastov.
Everyone was very pleased with the location. It is centrally located, easy to find, convenient to the freeway and the room has plenty of space and lighting. They ran a pretty large Magic tournament while we were there, but it was not at all distracting to us.
When we meet again on March 29th, we’ll move the start time to 10:00 AM to maximize our game time and allow for a group lunch at one of the local restaurants.

Glad to hear that you “southerners” have a new meeting place. These regional Game Days have definately resulted in an upswing in games being played and new players.
West Coast Melee is going to see a lot of new faces this year!
