Greetings all,
We had four players at our Monthly Game Day in Brea yesterday:
Fen Yan and I paired up in “Hamburg on Lovat†with my Germans defeating Fen’s Russians. This was a really interesting scenario that has a lot going on but plays pretty quickly. Fen and I agreed we’d both play it again as either side.
Chris Collett took on Blair Bellamy in the SK scenario “Sherman Marches Westâ€. It was primarily a learning game to introduce Chris to armor in ASL. I told Blair he missed his calling. His patient and thorough explanation of armor in ASL was really something to watch. And Chris has continued to make large strides learning the system.
We had our usual lunch over at Millie’s Restaurant. They let us sit in a booth in the main dining room this time. (They usually put us in the back room, away from their normal guests for obvious reasons.)
It was another great day of ASL. There’s still plenty of ASL left to play before WCM. We’re playing at Dave Rosner’s house in Winnetka on January 30th, Gameology on February 6th, Anaheim on February 13th and Brea on February 20th. Come on out and join us for one or all of those dates!
