The attendance of our monthly Game Day at St. Crispin’s consisted of just two, Eric Visnowski and I. But we made the most of it, getting in two Deluxe (of course) scenarios:
My Americans defeated Eric’s Germans in “A Lone Farmhouseâ€, a scenario out of an old Wargamer magazine. The scenario is a lot of fun, and we’re hoping to get permission from the original designer to update and republish it in a future MP.
Eric then broke out a scenario design he’s been working on: “One Tiger for each Hillâ€, with a small group of SS troops defending a Tiger on the much under-used Deluxe hill board against a raid from a fairly powerful American force. This was the initial playtest, but the scenario worked pretty well considering. We tossed around some revisions that should make it even better.
We had the lunch and dinner served by the St. Crispin’s Irregulars. EV and I enjoyed both our games, as we always do, and enjoyed the opportunity to chat up the miniature gamers as well.
