We had three members in attendance of the May Anaheim Game Day with the St. Crispin Irregulars. Stephan Tourville and I pair up in the Spanish Civil War scenario “Far from Home” from the new AP6. Stephan’s Nationalists and my Nationalists battled all day. Stephan had a pre-arranged departure time and we weren’t able to finish the scenario. With 1.5 turns to go, it was just too close to call, so we declared it a draw. It certainly would have come down to the last CC phase. This scenario is a lot of fun, with German Pz I’s and Russian T26’s ruling the battlefield. The fight is very fluid, and the VC’s force both sides to attack and defend. This is another winner for sure; I’d happily play it again.

Blair Bellamy volunteered to sit out so that he could get involved with one of the W.W.II miniatures battles going on, one with a ton of hedgerows that looked a lot like something out of Deluxe ASL (and played with miniatures of that scale).

We had several choices for lunch; I had a sausage sandwich and didn’t regret it.
