I screwed up in my last game. I had a 546 squad as my sacrificial lamb. Micheal Ciccerione had 2 447's, a MMG, a HMG, and a 9-1. DM first turn. 2nd turn dead to failure to rout. The thing is, I'm not entirely sure it was a mistake. It did make the kill stack shoot at them and not move for 1 turn.
I didn't rout them out of a cluster of buildings when I could, preferring to let Michael surround and kill them. That was a mistake. Once they were going to be perpetually DM they needed to get out and possibly rally later.
Still learning the nuances of the game…
