I’m pleased to report we had a record 10 players in attendance for the July edition of our O.C. Game Day in Brea on July 18th.
Larry Rohlfing and Dan Plachta squared off in “Food for an Armyâ€. After 7 hours of playing, they decided to call it a draw.
Eric Visnowski’s Americans defeated Blair Bellamy’s Germans in “McGowan Encounterâ€
Stephan Tourville’s Partisans beat Rob Stai’s Croatians in “Operation Schwartzâ€.
Chris Castallana’s Russians defeated Candice Juliano’s Germans in “Frontiers and Pioneersâ€
Bill Yuen’s Germans beat my Poles in “Head of the Maceâ€.
This was our first meeting at The Realm’s new location. The store is a little smaller but very convenient (right off of Highway 57 on Imperial Highway). There is not a huge amount of gaming space, but even with 10 people we still had enough table room, and the manager was kind enough to set up an extra table for us. And unlike the old location, we didn’t get roasted by the sun in the afternoon.
We adjourned to The Hat (only a block away from the new location) for lunch around 1:30 pm. It was another great day for SoCalASL.
