The October edition of our O.C. Game Day at The Realm was attended by four members:

Blair Bellamy’s Russians and Stephan Tourville’s Romanians battled to a draw in “Romanian Mares” from the new Friendly Fire Pack.

My Americans held off Eric Visnowski’s Germans in “No Country for Old Men”, another scenario from the new Friendly Fire Pack.

The game between EV and I had some very strange dice; I broke MA’s on two tanks in back-to-back shots. Later in the game, Eric broke all three of his tanks’ MA’s over a four shot sequence. We each had just as bad luck with vehicular MG’s. By the end of the game I had three surviving tanks, all with broken MA’s and only one functioning MG between them. EV had three Pz III’s at game end, all with broken MA’s and only two functioning MG’s between them. I guess you could say we were a little hard on the equipment.

EV and I enjoyed our scenario immensely. Blair and Stephan reported their scenario to be too close to call with one turn left (they had to call it due to lack of time). I played “Romanian Mares” at ASLOK against Steve Flicker and thought it was fun and balanced. If those two scenarios are any indication, Friendly Fire Pack 5 looks to be well worth the money.

We enjoyed our usual group lunch at Millie’s; our new favorite spot.

Yep, the scenario Blair and I played is definitely a winner.

Don't forget–we had a new SK player drop by too. I think his name was Justin. He seems like a nice guy!

We'll have to get him hooked. :D
