December OC Game Day AAR

Greetings all;

We had 5 at our December Game Day in Brea:

Scott Thompson and Stephan Tourville teamed up, taking the American/Chinese force in the Schwerpunkt scenario “Men From Mars” against Eric Visnowski’s Japanese. The allies proved victorious.

Blair Bellamy and I faced off in the East Front AP scenario “Reaping Rewards”. My Russians defeated Blair’s Romanians. That was the first time either of us had played the scenario and it proved to be a good choice. It is short (5.5 turns) but not small (close to 15 – 20 squads per side and 3 boards). But it actually played pretty quickly; about 5 hours not including set-up. I would happily play it again as either side, and our game was very enjoyable.

We adjourned for our usual mid-afternoon lunch at Millie’s; quite enjoyable as always.
