We had 6 members in attendance for the August edition of our ASL Game Day at Gameology.

Dave Nicholas’ Americans fell to Eric Visnowski’s Germans in the Schwerepunkt scenario “The Zebra Mission”.

Dan Plachta continued his Kursk tear, this time taking on Chip Wertenberger in the Journal scenario “Setting the Stage”. In a playing that lasted all day, Chip’s Germans defeated Dan’s Russians.

And Blair Bellamy and I paired up for the Schwerepunkt scenario “Worker Settlement #8”, where my Russians defeated Blair’s Germans. And because this is a tournament size scenario we were able to turn it around and play it again. This time my Germans held off Blair’s Russians. In all fairness to Blair, he was having a pretty bad day with his dice. We both thought this was a fun and interesting scenario, especially considering it can be played in about 3.5 hours (plus set up.) You can expect to see this one in an upcoming mini-tournament.

We also had a visit from Andrea Phillips of Strategicon Community Outreach. She was there to find out more about the Club and get our input on the Strategion Conventions. She will be at St. Crispins next week also, to interview the miniatures gamers.

Because there was a Pokimon (sp?) tournament going on at the store when we got there, we went early to lunch at The Hat. Store-owner Kevin was good to his word, and had space for us to play when we returned. We wrapped up just before 10:00 PM. It was a fun day, as always.
