I knew by the emails various members sent me that the August San Diego Game Day would be lightly attended (mostly due to travel and vacations). Rob Feinstein and I were in attendance, and we played “Hotly Contested Crossroads†from Dispatches. Nice combined arms scenario. My Russians defeated Rob’s Germans in a game that never really went right for Rob from the start. His Germans got a few licks in, but never quite enough at any point to turn the game around for him.
Rob and I have been playing against each other since 1987, and as always it was a fun game. We adjourned for lunch at the bitchin’ Mexican place we found on the other side of Interstate 15. A fun game and a great meal with an old friend; there’s no better way to spend a Sunday afternoon in my book.
