We had a very nice game day yesterday at The Realm in Brea…eight players and a few guest appearances. Here are the games thta got played:

    S22 Another Summer's Day – Candice's Germans defeated Bill's Americans…according to Candice, she “crushed” Bill. :)

J65 Brave Little Emchas – Casta's attrocity-commiting SS defeated Eric V.'s commies as Eric continues on his Deluxe frenzy…I even heard a few calls for Baby Jesus.

S2 War of the Rats – Jim's Russians defeated new-comer Steffan's Germans. This was Steffan's first introduction to the club, and I'm sure that Jim gave him the run-down on how great the club is and why he should join. Yet another Marine in our club…we're taking over!!! :)

S21 Clash at Borisovka – Candice's German's defeated Bill's Russians. Candice continues her “reign of SK terror” as she wins another game.

S11 A Long Way To Go – My Americans defeated Alex's Germans. I think this scenario is tough on the Germans as there is a lot of open ground that the Germans have to cross in order to reach the exit…I was able to get lot's of -1 and -2 shots, and coupled with some great rolls, I pushed the Germans over the CVP cap in Turn 6. Alex got to see how deadly mortars can be…the American 60mm MTR was responsible for the death of one leader and 4 or 5 squads, with lots and lots of rate shots. We both agreed that the scenario should be retitled “Too Friggin' Far”. :)

We changed up our lunch venue this time and we all went to The Hat. Everyone seemed to really like the food (the food *IS* good there, and the place is always crowded), and sounds like it might become the new lunch spot.

We also had a few people stop by for a little while to say hello and what not. Matt Cicero showed up and had a brief “trunk sale” of recently arrived product. “Extreme Makeover” Sean Geraghty stopped by to visit for a bit…it was great getting to see Sean again after his absence of late. Karl Johnson stopped by very briefly to say hello and see what scenarios we were playing. The Naked Commisar himself, Dave Reinking, stopped by later in the day and hung out for a while with us.

Thanks to everyone that was able to attend. Reminder that there will not be a game day in Brea in September as the Burning Wreck BBQ will be taking it's place…game day in Brea will return in October.

    Semper Fi!
