December 22nd Game Day in Escondido, AAR

We had a nice even 4 members, including San Diego stalwart Fred Timm, who has been working out of state for the last year, for the December edition of the San Diego Game Day.

Fred and Chip Wertenberger paired up for “Last Minute War”, with Fred’s Slovakians defeating Chip’s Hungarians in the last CC phase. Fred and Chip are well acquainted from the early days of ASL when both lived in the Bay area.

And Steve Thorne and I paired up for “Generalissimo’s Own”, with my Chinese squeezing out a hard-fought victory over Steve’s Japanese.

We were joined by Steve’s son Scott, and the five of us enjoyed a nice lunch at Farmer Boys. It was another very fine day of ASL!
