Holiday Greetings All;
We had 5 members in attendance for our monthly ASL Game Day at The Realm in Brea, and we split into two games:
Glenn Sellar’s Russians come up just a little short against Hank W.’s Germans in the Schwerepunkt scenario “The Chernichivo Shuffleâ€. I watched the last turn of this game; it looked like a lot of fun. I’ve added it to my play list.
And I took the Russians against Scott Thompson and Casta’s Germans in the Journal scenario “Last Push to Mozhaiskâ€. This was a very tight game that came down to the last turn when my Russians slipped back into one of the VC buildings for the win. This scenario came highly recommended by several players (including Hank W., who had played it twice.) I must say it lived up to its expectations. It was exciting and fun from beginning to end.
The store was a little crowded when we first arrived, so we took an early lunch over at Millies. By the time we turned, the tables were pretty empty and remained so for the rest of the day. The store was almost as quiet as it was last month (also a rainy day) when Blair and I played.
