May OC Game Day AAR

We had a solid seven showing up for the May edition of our Monthly Game Day in Brea, with scenarios played:

Eric Visnowski’s Russians fell to Hank W.’s Germans in the Deluxe scenario “Breakout”

Alex Robert’s Germans defeated Bill Yuen’s Russians in the all-armor SK scenario “Clash at Boroslovak”

Candice Juliano’s Brits were still battling Blair Bellamy’s Germans in “Second Cristot” at closing, so they have decided to finish the match next month at Gameology.

E.V. then took me on in the Dispatches classic “Brasche Encounter”, with his Germans squeezing out a win against my French, in one of the closest games Eric and I have ever played.

And we adjourned in the middle of the afternoon for our usual group lunch at The Hat.

Scott Thompson made a cameo appearance to demo some of the crack… I mean “new product” he recently purchased. He brought the two BFP productions, Beyond the Beachhead and Operation Cobra. He also brought First Wave at Omaha, a new CH release. I’ve been eyeing that one since Dave Lamb showed it to me at ASLOK. When I got home that night I looked it up on the Gamer’s Armory website and had to order it.

The Hat … I thought that Candice had veto power over a journey to The Hat. Bummed out I missed it.

Maybe I should get my kid out of wrestling and into something civilized … like ASL.
