    We had five members in attendance for our April meeting of The Red Barricades Project. Dan Plachta, Stephan Tourville and Chris Castallana had command of the Germans, facing me and Jim Cotugno with the Russians.

    We commenced play of the October 22nd CG Date with the bottom of turn 2 and played through the top of turn 5. Although the Germans had managed to clear out the Commissar’s House, a German OBA mission left it blazing. Although the kill ratio at this point is highly favorable for the Germans (4 squads dead to 12 Russian) the casualties have been relatively low. That number may jump up next turn; a Russian counterattack has left 3 Russian and 2 German squads locked in Hand-to-Hand Melee.

    We had our usual “gamer’s lunch” and enjoyed great company with HMGS crew. We wrapped up around 6:30. It was another great day.
