We had a full house for the July edition of the Red Barricades Project. Dan Plachta, Mike Cirrincione and Casta had command of the Germans, with Jim Cotugno, Scott Thompson, Dave Reinking and I commanding the Russians. Because this was a Night scenario, it took a little longer than usual to get underway. We rolled the first Wind Change at about 12:30.
Play started out a little slow while we became acclimated to the Night rules, but we soon got in a good rhythm. We managed to complete two full turns by the time we wrapped up around 5:30. From the Russian perspective, we’re feeling pretty good, with the kill ratio close to 1 to 1 and most of our force still under cloaking after two turns.
It was also something of a milestone for The Red Barricades Project. This meeting marked the completion of our second full year of playing this Campaign.
