We had five members in attendance for the September edition of The Red Barricades Project. Mike Cirrincione, Stephan Tourville and Chris Castallana ran the Germans against me and Jim Cotugno as the Russians. The 10/20 CG date ground on as Casta’s Germans consolidated their gains along the west board edge and Stephan’s force hammered its way through the Russian wire and into the Furnace building. On the east flank Mike’s forces played a cat and mouse game against Jim’s localized Russian counter-attack.

We played through turn 6, but I rolled a ‘4’ on the CG date end dr, so the Germans will be able to exploit their gains for another turn. Jim and I will be fighting to contain the damage. It’s been a bloody CG date; 24 Russian and 12 German squads in the dirt cup. But the Germans have lost two full platoons of 5-4-8 Sturm squads, so the Russian team has something to console itself with.

We had our usual St. Crispin's lunch, and wrapped about around 5:30. As always, it was a fun, relaxing day of ASL at its best. There will be no October meeting of The Red Barricades Project as I will be at ASLOK that weekend. We will resume our usual schedule in November. Stay tuned.
