    Howdy All,

We had a great game day yesterday with eight in attendance and five games played. Lunch this month was over at The Hat which is a mile or two from Gameology. What we learned there is that you only need one order of onion rings per table of four. :)

If any is curious or wondering, we are ON for the LA Game Days in December and January (first Saturday of the month as always!).

Here's the break down on the games:

Blair Bellamy's Germans' defeated Nick Rusch's Americans in S42, One More Hedgerow, which is from the new ASL expansion pack. There were a lot of oohs and aahs over the new board in this MMP breakdown. Blair noted: “FPF is your friend”!

Blair and Nick actually got in two scenarios from the new pack; in the second Nick defated Blair's Americans in S41, Sink's Encouragment (may not have that title right).

Mike C. (not even gonna attempt that one :) ) Italian's lost to Rob Stai's Americans in the night DASL classic OA12 Sicilian Midnight. This one came down to the last turn, and was Mike's first Night scenario.

Eric Visnowski's American defeated Dan Plachta's Germans in BFP 19, Russian Style.

Jim Aikens' German SS defeated Geoff Coward's American/French/Germans in RPT34, Last Stand of the Rotten Jenny. Yep you read that right. This is from the new Schwerepunkt 'Ruins of the Reich' pack, depicting a May 5th attack by SS troops who don't quite know the war is over against a combined force defending/relieving a recently liberated German prison. A very interesting scenario with very interesting and challenging terrain resulting from clever use of overlays.

Well that's it for now – hope to see you next month!

    Geoff
