March 6th Game Day AAR

Greetings ASL Fans;

Last week a lot of guys told me they’d played so many games at WCM they were going to pass on our Game Day at Gameology. So it was no surprise we had a light turnout of 6 guys. But 6 guys is still a solid turnout, and we got 3 games in, plus a cameo appearance by Bruce Kirkaldy.

Stephan Tourville and Dan Plachta paired up for “Sieze that Crossroads”, with Dan’s Americans defeating Stephan’s Germans among the hedgerows.

Todd Schallberg and I paired up (with Bruce providing some set-up advice for Todd) in the new Dispatches scenario “Out of the Shadows”. My Germans defeated Todd’s Americans in what proved to be a very interesting and exciting scenario.

Glenn Sellar’s Norwegians defeated Mike Soffa’s Germans in older Journal scenario “The Bridge at Verdalorosa”. I’m definitely going to put that scenario on my play list.

And of course in the mid-afternoon we adjourned for our usual lunch at The Hat. It was a great day, as usual.
