Greetings ASL Fans;
We had 9 members in attendance for the April edition of ASL Game Day at Gameology:
Dan Plachta’s Germans defeated Bill Yuen’s Americans in “French Toast and Baconâ€, one of the Winter Offensive Pack scenarios.
And because their game got over fairly quickly, Bill and Dan rematched for “Front in Flames†with Bill’s Germans defeating Dan’s Russians.
Rob Stai’s Germans defeated Mike Cirrincione’s French in “Last Defense Lineâ€, a oldie but goodie from the ASL Annuals.
Mike Soffa’s Germans defeated Blair Bellamy’s Russians in “Trouble with Tigers†out of Rally Point.
My Germans defeated Eric Visnowski and Geoff Coward’s Americans in “Cobra Kings†from J8. This was my third scenario out of Journal 8, and it was another winner, IMO. The flow of the game hinges a lot on the pre-game random rubble and flame placement phase. Both sides get some interesting equipment, and the game was very exciting and challenging. I would happily play this one again as either side.
And we had our usual fine (if fattening) lunch at The Hat, dining outside with our friend Al Fresco and his brother Alfredo.
It was another great day of ASL!
