Happy Birthday to all of my fellow Marines, past and present.
I had the honor of conducting an oral history interview recently with a gentleman who was a rifle instructor at Camp Matthews when a young Marine by the name of Carlos Hathcock came through…Hathcock scored one point higher than this gentleman on the range.
On Saturday I was privileged to meet Brigadier General William Bloomer, Brigadier General Albert Brewster, Lt. Col. William Kogerman (got a compliment and “thank you” from him) and numerous other Marines at the El Toro Homecoming last weekend.
I will *not* post the link to the story…no need to give Cicero any ammunition to use against me.
