We had another great Game Day at Emerald Knights yesterday. Ten members came to play, plus we had cameo appearances from Dave Rosner and Matt Cicero.

Kevin Kiff and Phil Seymour teamed up for the Bounding Fire scenario “Russian Style”, with Phil’s Germans defeating Kevin’s Americans.

Dave Nicholas’ Brits fell to Eric Visnowski’s Germans in “Goch Ya” from Operation Veritable.

Rob Stai’s Brits defeated Jim Cotugno’s Japanese in the AP scenario “Uncommon Misery”.

Blair Bellamy’s Germans came up short against Dan Plachta’s Poles in the Critical Hit scenario “The River Dance.”

And Bill Yuen and I paired up for the Dispatches scenario “Lack of Discernment”. This scenario features a large, well-armed Chinese Nationalist force attacking a pretty tough bunch of Red Chinese on board 23. You gotta love a scenario set in 1927 where the scariest weapon in the battle is two Nationalist type-22 armored trucks. Bill and I had a great game, and if you like 337’s killing each other off in CC, this is definitely a scenario you should try. In the end my Commies pushed Bill’s Nationalists over the CVP cap for the win. This is a big scenario, but because it’s a battle of annihilation the squad density thins out pretty quickly. Bill and I agreed we’d both play it again as either side.

We enjoyed our usual chili-dog lunch at Larry’s, and wrapped up the day with our traditional dinner at Bob’s Big Boy. What a great day!
