We had seven members, including Kyle Li, who just joined the Club, for the April edition of our ASL Game Day at Gemeology.

David Kocot’s French fell to Dan Plachta’s Germans in “Panzer’s Forward”. And because their game got over fairly quickly, David took on Kyle Li in the SK scenario “Ambush”. Unfortunately they ran out of time and called this one a draw.

Eric Visnowski’s Japanese defeated John Lehman’s Americans in the classic Deluxe scenario “Mayhem in Manila”.

And Chip Wertenberger and I launched our pre-arranged replaying of “Streets of Rostov”. Chip had the Germans against my Russians. Even with the set-up done in advance it still took us some time to get underway. In a game that lasted until 10:00 pm we finally called it a German win. This is a very big, complex and enjoyable scenario. Chip and I had a blast, and we both would happily play this one again, even though we’d both played it twice now.

We made our usual trip to The Hat for lunch, and wrapped up right around 10:00 pm. It was another great day of ASL!
