We had 9 members in attendance for the July edition of our SoCalASL Game Day in Chatsworth.
Sal Palaez' Germans fell to Blair Bellamy's Partisans in “Liberation of Tule”. And because that game got over quickly, they paired up again for the Special Ops scenario “Broken Wings”. Sal had his revenge when his Germans defeated Blair's Russians.
Matt Cicero and Eric Visnowski's Russians defeated Ed Esparza's Germans in the Schwerepunkt scenario “The Fraternal Grave”.
Dan Plachta and Dave Nicholas paired up to work on one of Dan's playtest scenarios “Right Flank of the Sale-Calore Corridor”. (I think Dan needs to work on that scenario name.)
And Dave Rosner and I paired up for the Winter Offensive scenario “Liberation Day”. Thanks to very hot dice, and a good set-up, my Germans made short work of Dave's Russians. And because we wrapped that up early, we set up “Adolph's Amateurs” from Best of Friends. I like this scenario a lot, and ROAR shows it dead even. In the end, my Russians defeated Dave's Germans.
We had our usual superb lunch at The San Carlo Deli. The survivors took advantage The Habit's extended summer hours for a late dinner. Another excellent day for SoCalASL!
