November 17th Game Day in Winnetka

We had 5 members for our SoCalASL Game Day at Dave Rosner's place in Winnetka:

Mike Soffa's Russians defeated Blair Bellamy's Germans in the March Madness pack scenario “Yevpatoriya Mop Up”.

And David Rosner took the SS against the Russian team of Aikens and Nicholas in the Duluxe scenario “To the Last Man”. This is a great 3-player scenario, but it heavily favors the Russians. To try to fix that, we gave the Germans the balance, and made all of the 5-4-8's SS. I took the 4-4-7 force with the 120 OBA, Nick took the elite force with the 3 SU-85's. The Germans suffer from Ammo Shortage, and that really hurt Dave; he threw an incredible amount of 11's and 12's. It's too bad, because he had a good plan, including converting fortified locations into tunnels. But it wasn't enough, and we called this a Russian victory on turn 3.

We hit Farmer Boys for lunch, and the survivors adjourned to The Habit for a late dinner. It was another great day and we all had a lot of fun.
