April 26th Game Day at JJ's Game Lounge AAR

We have a very solid 8 players, including another new member, plus a cameo from Mike Soffa, for the April edition of our SoCalASL Game Day at JJ’s Game Lounge:

Sal Palaez and Blair Bellamy paired up for two ASLSK scenarios. In the first, Sal’s Slovaks fell to Blair Poles in “Contested Settlement”. In the second Blair’s Americans defeated Sal’s Germans in “Use Your Tanks and Shove”.

In a battle that lasted to closing, Kevin Kiff’s Japanese fought to a draw against Vegas Visnowski and Nick Nicholas’ Americans in “Ninth Tanks”.

And I paired up with new member Dave Sessions in the Dispatches scenario “Strossstruppe Schlicter”, with my Germans defeating Dave’s Norwegians.

Bill Yuen arrived just as my game with Dave was wrapping up, so he and I pair up for the same scenario. This time around, Bill’s Norwegians kicked my Germans all over the board.

We enjoyed our usual superb lunch next door at San Carlo Deli. And the survivors made their way to Marie Calendar’s for our traditional late dinner.

On behalf of the Club, I want to welcome Dave Sessions to our ranks. For those keeping score, we also picked up Kyle Li at Gameology, giving us two new members for the month of April.
