….but since I wasn't there, I'd really like to know what the heck went on…
Somebody wake up Geoff!
August 5, 2008 at 5:57 am #5270testuserMemberActually, I took some notes for Jim. I didn't do a good job, sadly. Pick on Jim and me. Unless Geoff did some stealth recording….
August 5, 2008 at 6:20 am #5271Paul SimonsenMemberBut Geoff is so much more fun to pick on. I think it must be the result of a guilty conscience… 8P

-PaulAugust 5, 2008 at 11:05 pm #5273Jim AikensKeymasterOur Gameology attendance this month was truly remarkable; 16 players… in other places in the country there are multi-day events that would consider 16 to be a very good turnout. And Geoff didn’t mention that we had our usual great lunch at Marie Calendar’s as well.
On a personal note, I want to thank Glen for a very fun game; his first foray into desert terrain, and my first in quite some time. “Whirling Dervishes†is, well, something different as scenarios go. It has Elite French vs first line Italians in the desert, both sides get quite a number of heavily armed (but unarmored) scout cars and trucks blasting away at each other amid light dust. It seems like one of those scenarios that you have to play once to figure out what’s going on, and I’m not sure I’ll jump at the chance to play this one a second time. But Glen and I had fun regardless.
Thanks, Candice for taking the notes of the games and participants for the AAR. It allowed Glen and I to finish our scenario just barely before closing.
And thanks again to those who came; it was great to see everyone.
Regards,
Jim
