We had a solid 9 members for the February edition of our Los Angeles Monthly Game Day at Gameology in Claremont, with 6 scenarios played over the course of the day.
My British defeated Todd Schallberg’s Germans in “Farmyard Affreyâ€. This was Todd’s first game using the full system. Congratulations, Todd.
Rob Stai’s Germans defeated Mike Cirrincione’s Germans in that classic scenario “Puma Prowlsâ€.
Candice Juliano’s Americans beat Geoff Coward’s Germans in “Vossenack Churchâ€. The scenario is from Dispatches from the Bunker and looked like it would be well worth a try.
Mike Soffa’s Russians defeated Dan Plachta’s Italians in “Valley of Deathâ€.
Dave Rosner showed about late in the afternoon, just as Todd and I were wrapping up our game. So we set up “Battle at Borodino†by the East Side Gamers. My Germans beat Dave’s Russians in what proved to be a very quick little scenario.
Rob and Mike C. decided on a rematch, and set up “Edge of Extictionâ€, with Mike taking the Germans and Rob the Americans. That game was still going strong when I left. I’ll let them tell you the outcome.
And of course we had our usual group lunch next door at Marie Calendar’s. Enjoyable as always.
Needless to say, it was another great day of playing ASL. The next meeting will be on the Saturday after West Coast, March 7th.
Regards,
Jim
