How are you all spending the most important holiday of the year?

I got to play a scenario last night with Candice (I'll post an AAR later).

Tonight we're going over to a friend's house tonight to watch fireworks…the city sets theirs off on the other side of the street, so close that you feel the concussion of the fireworks. YAY!!! My tax dollars going to good use!

Tomorrow we're driving down to Del Mar to the fair for that whole experience.

I just got back from Del Mar. Good food, good fair, way too many people. We didn't stay for the fireworks. I'll watch them on TV.

I watched some of the “Washington's Generals” series on TV in the afternoon. In the evening we went to Anaheim to see the Angels game and the post-game fireworks show. The game was great (they won), the fireworks were awesome, and getting out of the parking lot was a nightmare (it sucks when everyone stays until the end). Came home and watched some of the “Revolutionary War” series on TV.

I saw on the news yesterday that there was a big fireworks display in Berlin in honor of the opening of the new U. S. Embassey there.

The family watched the local firework display from on top a hill looking down over the lake. Quite nice.
