We had 7 members, plus a cameo from Scott Thompson, for the June edition of our ASL Game Day at Gameology:
Dave 'Nick' Nicholas and Dave 'Special K' Kocot paired up for big PTO scenario “The Pinnicle”, with Nick's Americans assaulting Special K's Japanese cave complex. They got to turn 4, with both sides taking about 40% casualties, and decided to continue it at a later date.
Blair Bellamy's French defeated Dan Plachta's Americans in the Dezign Pack scenario “Chopped Off at the Knees”.
And that left me and Jim Svette paired up as the Germans against Eric 'Vegas' Visnowski's Russians in the Schwerepunkt scenario “Teltow Twostep”. EV and I had previously played this one with Ed Esparza and really enjoyed it. In this playing, the hard-hitting Germans slipped just enough troops across the bridge on turn 4 for the immediate victory. It was a very enjoyable game.
We had our usual excellent lunch at The Hat, and were paid a visit in the early evening by a fellow who had bought a Starter Kit off of Gameology. He promised to join us next month. We hung around chatting among ourselves and with Kevin, Gameology's owner, and called it a night at 10:30 PM.
