We had five members in attendance, plus cameo appearances from Matt Cicero and Karl Johnson, for the May edition of our Los Angeles Game Day at Gameology:

Blair Bellamy and Eric Visnowski paired up for “Sikh Defiance” from Rally Point, with Blair’s aforementioned Sikh’s defeating EV’s Germans.

And I took on Bill Yuen and Dave Nicholas in “A Frosty Morning” from the new Ops magazine. We rolled for sides and I got John Frost’s 1st Para’s (the guys who would later make the heroic stand at Arnhem) in Tunisa in 1942. Bill took the Italian force pursing the paras, and Dave took the small elite German force trying to block them from exiting for victory. The para force consists of 14 6-4-8’s with five leaders (including a 10-2 and 9-2) that have to fight their way across the board against the German and Italian infantry forces, as well as a platoon of German tanks and another of AC’s and half tracks.

This turned into a fun and exciting scenario, and I conceded victory when Frost and his men broke on the board edge when they were poised to advance off for the win. We all thought this was a very interesting and enjoyable scenario and well worth another go.

As usual we adjourned for lunch at The Hat (and even sat outside in the sunshine.) We wrapped up around 9:30 PM. It was another great day of ASL.
