Greetings ASL Fans;
We had a total of 5 players in attendance for the October edition of our ASL Game Day at All Ways Gaming in Chatsworth.
Dan Plachta and Eric Visnowski's Germans defeated David Nicholas' Russians in stiff contest of “Anatoly's Ambush”. Depending on who you ask, it was either a complete rout of the Russians or within one AFV-kill of being a Russian win. You decide.
That left me and Ed Esparza playing “Blazin' Chariots”. The first game was an easy win for Ed's British forces in two turns. We flipped it around after lunch and it was a much more even contest going through four turns. It came down to my final British AFV trying to kill one of the remaining immobilized German AFVs. A malfunctioning British gun gave the win to Ed's Germans for a clean sweep of both games. The scenario lived up to it's name – it was both hot in the desert and there were a lot of burning wrecks after the action.
We hit Munch Box (a.k.a. Manson Burger) for lunch, and the survivors made their way to The Habit for our usual late dinner. It was a great day with a great turn-out and some very exciting games.
