We had 7 members in attendance for the October edition of our ASL Game Day at JJ’s Game Lounge in Chatsworth.

Eric Visnowski and Dave Rosner paired up for the Beyond Valor scenario “In Sight of the Volga”. They played to turn 8 (of 10) and called it a draw, with EV as the Germans and Dave as the Russians.

Kevin Kiff and Dave Nicholas paired up for two Critical Hit scenarios. In the first, Dave’s Americans defeated Kevin’s Germans in “Seeking Sanctuary”. In the second, Kevin’s Americans defeated Dave’s Germans in “Rimling Round Up”.

And with an odd number of players, Blair Bellamy took the Brits against me and Dan Plachta as the Germans in the Friendly Fire scenario “War Ensemble”. Blair had a great set-up, and some pretty hot dice for the most part, but that was off-set when his 57L AT Gun caught both our flame tanks in its sights, but broke on its first shot. This was a very enjoyable, exciting game with the Germans pulling out a last-minute win. We all had a great time playing this one. I have to say; this is the 4th scenario I’ve played from this pack, and they all been remarkably good. We all agreed we’d definitely try this one again.

As always, we enjoyed an excellent lunch at San Carlo Italian Deli next door. All the games cleared fairly early, and we headed over to Marie Calendar’s for dinner and pie. It was a great way to end a great day of ASL.
