We had 11 members at our October Game Day at Gameology:
Todd Schallberg and Stephan Tourville chose “Probing Korsus†from the Swedish Volunteer Pack, with Todd’s Swedes defeating Stephan’s Russians.
Because their game was over fairly quickly, they were able to get in a second one from the pack: “Lions and Tin Menâ€, with Stephan getting retribution with his Germans beating Todd’s Swedes.
Rob Stai’s French defeated Dan Plachta’s Japanese in a very close playing of the classic “Ultimate Treacheryâ€.
Bill Yuen’s Germans defeated Candice Juliano’s Russians in another classic scenario, “Urban Guerillas.
Mike Cirrincione’s Germans beat Nick Rusch’s Americans in “WN 63â€.
And because we had an odd number in attendance, Mike Soffa and Eric Visnowski teamed up, taking the British attackers against my German defenders in “The Good Shepherdâ€. My Germans came out on top in a very enjoyable game.
By mutual agreement, we decided on a quick group lunch at Burger King instead of our usual pizza run. I won’t comment in the food, but at least the meal was cheap, fast and with good company.
This was Candice’s last Club event, at least for the foreseeable future. We bid her a collective fond farewell and good luck in her new life back in Georgia. She promised she’d stay in touch through the forums and occasional return visits.
